Titel onderzoek: Etruscans for All: the reception and perception of the Etruscans in 18th- and 19th- century Northwestern Europe
This multidisciplinary study dives into the reception history of the Etruscans in Northwestern Europe in the 18th and19th centuries. Until that period, interest in the Etruscans was a local Italian phenomenon. From the late 18th centuryonwards, however, interest increased in transalpine countries, where Etruscan collections were purchased by nationalmuseums. What were the exact reasons for their interest in this ancient culture?
