Title research: Reconstructing trough the emptiness: an application of digital tools to understudied Italian rural landscape.
My project aims to reconstruct the rural dynamics of a neglected Roman-era landscape in Piedmont, Italy. Despite its potential, the area shows limited archaeological knowledge, hindering a holistic view and reinforcing a perception of rural emptiness. Digital tools will be my tool to maximize insights from existing and newly acquired non-invasive data. I am mostly working with edge detection, remote sensing, and multi-factor weighted analysis.
